We love Marks and Spencer in our household, so we had high hopes!
My first impression of the dress was that it was very pretty! I love the yellow undercoat and the top layer of sheer fabric with embroidered daisies. It looks truly gorgeous on! It would definitely make the perfect outfit for a Flower Girl, or even baby/toddler wedding guest.
The back of the dress is gorgeous with visible yellow buttons, and I love the scalloped trim at the base of the skirt.
Although I am in love with this dress (and wish they made it in my size), I was disappointed to find that the fabric was 100% polyester. This is not ideal on a particularly hot day, or if your Flower Girl has sensitive skin.
The shoes are fabulous and super sparkly; reminiscent of Dorothy's slippers in The Wizard of Oz. They are certainly glamorous enough for a wedding, or any party, and would definitely tear up the dance floor!
However, I was very disappointed about the fit. Busby is a size 4 in children's shoes, but she does have quite wide feet. The shoes were very narrow and restrictive, and not ideal for growing feet at all. An option for a wide fit would be a fantastic addition to the children's shoe range, and would prevent delicate feet from being squished. Alternatively, a fabric with more give could have been utilised to make the shoes.
Overall, the Marks and Spencer Flower Girl range is very beautiful and incredibly universal; I can imagine every Bride being able to find something they'd like their Flower Girl to wear.
The Daisy Dress is perfect for all Spring events; from the role of Flower Girl to birthday parties, and I'm sure we're going to get a lot of wear out of it at impending engagements. I was a little disappointed with the shoes (see my comment above), and do wish that Marks and Spencer could have used better fabrics on both products. However, that being said, the items we were sent were reasonably priced and ideal if you're on a tight budget as a Bride!
The yellow Daisy Dress costs £35 (12-18 months) and the Riptape Bow Glitter shoes cost £12 (size 4). Both items are available to buy on the Marks and Spencer website.
